MyRoomWatch watches a hotel booking you already made and tells you when the same stay gets cheaper. To do that we need a small amount of information about you and that booking. This page explains exactly what we hold, why, and how to get rid of it.
Who we are
MyRoomWatch is operated by SIA ONEZERO, registered in Latvia (European Union). We are the data controller for the personal data described here. Contact us any time at hello@myroomwatch.com.
What we collect
| Data | Why we need it |
|---|---|
| Your email address and a hashed password | To create your account, sign you in, match a forwarded booking to you, and send your alerts. Passwords are stored only as a one-way hash — we cannot read them. |
| The booking confirmation you forward, and the details we extract from it (hotel, city, dates, room and board, occupancy, price, currency, refundable status, cancellation deadline) | This is the thing we monitor. Without it there is nothing to watch. |
| The price checks we run for your booking, and the alerts we sent | To spot a genuine drop, avoid alerting you twice for the same thing, and show you your history. |
| Basic technical logs (timestamps, error traces) | To keep the service working and diagnose faults. |
We never ask for or store payment card details. You always rebook directly with the hotel or booking site yourself — we never make, change, or cancel a booking on your behalf.
Legal basis
- Performance of a contract — processing your account and your booking is how we deliver the service you asked for.
- Legitimate interests — keeping the service secure and working.
- Consent — for any optional marketing email, which you can withdraw at any time. Price-drop and deadline alerts are not marketing: they are the service itself, and they stop when you stop monitoring a booking or delete your account.
Who else processes your data
We use a small number of providers, each only for a specific job:
- Render — hosting of our application and database (EU region).
- Postmark — receives the booking confirmations you forward to
save@myroomwatch.com. - Anthropic (Claude) — reads a forwarded confirmation to extract the booking details. The email text is sent for processing and is not used to train models.
- LiteAPI — provides current hotel rates. We send the property and stay dates, never your identity.
- Klaviyo — delivers your alert emails.
- Vercel — serves this website.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for anyone else's advertising.
How long we keep it
We keep a booking and its price history while we are monitoring it, and for up to 12 months afterwards so you can see what we found for you. Delete your account and we remove your personal data within 30 days, except anything we must keep for legal or accounting reasons.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or hand it to another provider. Email hello@myroomwatch.com and we will respond within one month. If you think we've handled your data badly, you may complain to the Latvian Data State Inspectorate (dvi.gov.lv) or your local supervisory authority.
Cookies
This site sets no tracking or advertising cookies. When you sign in, we store a session token in your browser's local storage purely to keep you signed in; it never leaves your device except to authenticate you with our API.
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update the date above and, for anything significant, tell you by email.
